Let’s Get Growing!

Connect with gardens in your community and help every green space in Baton Rouge have the care and resources it needs to thrive.

Volunteer with the Baton Rouge Garden Alliance! You’ll help grow fresh, healthy food and create a healthier Baton Rouge.

Our Virtual Volunteer orientation walks you through some gardening basics, including safety, tools, planting, harvesting, weeding, and watering.

Grow Our Community

The Baton Rouge Garden Alliance is always looking to grow! Whether you have an existing garden that you would like to connect to the Garden Alliance, know of a community garden in your neighborhood, or would like to get a community garden started, we can help.

Grow Our Gardens

Community gardens grow food and community. Community gardens also:

Provide a place for people to work together to grow fresh food.

Increase the quantity and variety of fresh food that’s available.

Offer an opportunity to connect with neighbors and make new friends.

Join The Baton Rouge Garden Alliance, Baton Roots & Geaux Get Healthy for a fun morning on the first Saturday of the month that includes a garden workshop, cooking demo, produce share, and yoga!
